October Meeting Recap, Info and Action Items

Nahren Anweya

Nahren Anweya gave a heartbreaking story of the life and death situation of the Assyrian Christian’s plight in the Middle East. She explained how  ISIS is slaughtering hundreds of Christians every month. They are also buying and selling women for cigarettes. Women are slaves to #‎ISIS.This is the real war on women. Nahren also warned of the dangers our Nation faces with the influx of possible radicalized Muslims contained in the population of Syrian Refugees. Our leaders are not putting the best interest of the American people ahead of the goals of the U.N. and the Obama administration from the sleeper cells being set up across our country. This brave young woman is trying to sound the alarm by educating people to the reality of genocide in Iraq and the risk of Islamist radicals infiltration our country.

Congressman Kerry Bentivolio Invites Others to Join Him to the Finish

(Closing in on D.C.) – Former U.S. Representative and decorated Army Sergeant First Class Kerry Bentivolio is coming to the end of the road in a month long journey for justice for his fellow veterans. The 64 year old Congressman and veteran of two wars, Vietnam and Operation Iraqi Freedom departed his home in Milford, MI on the morning of Friday, September 18 and began walking and biking to Washington, D.C.

The former Michigan Congressman, and school teacher, is trying to raise awareness of the abominable conditions that our veterans and their families are living under after giving their lives to protect and serve. According to the latest Inspector General’s Report 300,000 veterans died waiting for VA benefits and twice as many are still waiting!

He continues visiting with various VFW, AMVETS, American Legion Posts, and other organizations along his route towards Washington, D.C.; taking testimony from his fellow veterans; urging everyone to call their Representatives to demand accountability and change.

The Congressman is expecting to reach Arlington National Cemetery by Saturday, October 17th at 10:00am. He is inviting others to finish the journey with him to his final destination, the Vietnam War Memorial. If interested, he is asking supporters to meet near the entrance of the parking structure at Arlington Cemetery at 10:00 am. It’s time to take a stand!

Kerry Bentivolio represented Michigan’s 11th District in the 113th Congress. As a Member of Congress, Bentivolio earned a reputation for being a citizen legislator, government watchdog, an outspoken advocate for vets, and a strong voice for the average American.

Congressman Bentivolio issued the following remarks regarding veterans’ issues and his walk:

“I’m walking for justice for every soldier, sailor, airman and woman, and Marine that has been denied their end of the deal for serving and protecting this country! We, the American people have heard empty and broken promises for far too long. Enough is enough! This problem will not be solved by passing a bill. More bureaucracy is not the answer. We need real time accountability and choices for our veterans! I need your help to fix this problem once and for all!”
